- cat & patrick demarco: two very good posts. The readers here all concluded it was an English Mastiff. There are so many different types, with the English variety probably being the most gentle. The Brazillian and Tibetan typically (not always) are the ones we read about snapping.

- What about the high school athletes that see the pros and focus on them, because they have no other hope, and win college scholerships? Then they move on to be pro athletes, too? Sometimes, sports are their only hope. As for Tom's wife, I do not agree with what she said about the teammates.

- I love the WORK that I do. And the company I work for is one of the best ones for this area with a great reputation. But the people in my office are so stiff and B-O-R-I-N-G. (Hello? Is this thing on?) It really does take it's toll day after day. Not one bit of humor.
